The poetical proofs by Imam Alusi RA in his Tafseer , a descriptive analytical study

Abstract

The Holy Quran is revealed in unprecedented Arabic language. Due to a unique fluency Arabic language it is very comprehensive. It is why special attention was given to know the standard Arabic language for the clear understanding of Holy Quran. The Arabic language is divided in to two parts: Prose & Poetry. The Muffasiren quoted both of them, but the poetic evidences had an effective contribution in the interpretation of the Holy Quran. Imam Alusi also quoted many verses both from pre Islamic era and Islamic era as a proof to support his arguments in his Tafseer Rooh ul Ma’ani (the spirit of meaning in illustration of Quran.( This study clarifies the biography of Imam Alusi R.A and his tafseer, poetic evedince, its significance, its various types and poetical proofs in Tafseer Rooh ul Ma’ani.
