Abstract
One of the significant events of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life is the Battle of Bādār. The Holy Qur'an has termed this incident as “sweeping victory” in the favour of Muslims. This battle caused far reaching effects over the relations of Muslims and their rival; Qūraish of Makkah. The Historians of Səərāḫ had burnt their midnight oil in compilation and editing of all incidents related with battle from their specific point of view. However, a thorough study of the battle of Bādār brings forth some complexities for researchers which can be solved provided that they are tested as per the principles of Tarjeeḥ (preference) and Taṭbeeq (application) derived by the competent scholars. Subsequently, an obvious and explicable picture of this battle emerges or the researchers. The current paper is aimed to scholarly analyze such complexities in order to provide new horizons of research for the scholars of Səərāḫ.
