Abstract

"Due to comprehensiveness and depth of Arabic language, especially a unique fluency, conjunction and different style of speech in Quran, the "lughvees" have described different meanings and shades of the Quranic metaphors, similes, instances and idioms. A step was taken in the form of Urdu translation to understand the concepts existing in the Holy Quran in Indo-Pak Sub continent. The translators decoded the Holy Quran according to their own literary taste and previous related described meanings. In the result the meaning of the Holy Quran were not affected negatively but has created the comprehensiveness in the meaning of the Holy Quran. In this article effects of linguistic understandings on the Urdu translations are being analyzed."
