Abstract
Allah Almighty has given an authority to the human beings to express their thoughts and opinions. They use different words to comprehend and convince others. As a result, different languages Arabic, Persian, Urdu, English and Pashto etc came into being. Among those, Arabic is an international language being spoken and understood in a vast part of the world. This language is a rich in vocabulary and has a unique frame of grammar. There are 200 names used for snake, 500 names for lion and 1000 names for Swords. Likewise words are used for more than one meaning. The Holy Quran being a unique and unmatched collection of knowledge has touched every side of eloquence. There are many words used in the Holy Quran having more than one meaning. In this paper we have evaluated the word “Fitna” and its applications mentioned in the Holy Quran.
