Abstract
Allah Almighty has specified persons from among the people in every age to protect His foremost religion, Islam. These persons are called the Ulama or the scholars of Islam. The second source of Sharia'' Hadith ''got the Divine support as is revealed from the Islamic History. Numerous scholars contributed this knowledge by offering their whole life and rendering heavy sacrifices. They introduced the principles to scrutinize the narrations of The Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) and make them free from any doubt and suspicion. No doubt they have succeeded in providing a reliable collection of Hadith to the coming generation. But beside their remarkable achievements, some mistakes have taken place especially in the last period of their age. This oversight occurred unintentionally which can be taken a huminitic featrure. The later scholars of Hadith have pointed out these mistakes to inform the Ummah. Among these scholars one is Imam Wakie Bin Al Jarah, a prominent and confidant figure of Hadith. In this article, we have attempted to bring before the oversights of Imam Wakie Bin Jarah occurred in the knowledge of Hadith.
