Abstract
In this article, an important social and legal issue bribery has been discussed in the light of Quran and traditions of prophet (peace be upon him) along with jurists opinions, writer has focused on two fundamental aspects of bribery, one of them is channel of spending of wealth gained by bribery, and the second one is legal impact of bribery in Islamic law. Muslim jurists have agreed upon the point, that bribery is not valid source of transferring of ownership, but they have different opinion regarding channel of spending, whether it would be considered the property of Bait u mal or would be returned to the actual owner, likewise what would be the status of conviction or absolving of accused, when a judge has decided case based on partiality and prejudice, due to bribery
