Abstract
Judaism, Christianity and Islam are generally termed as Semitic Religions. But in fact another old tradition Sabiah / Mandaiah as also be added to the list of Semitic religions. In fact, Sabiah / mandaiah is a Monotheistic Gnosticism in consonance with their Holy Books. Member of this sect are predominantly found in Iraq. The Holy Book the Muslim Al-Quran has mentioned the Sabiah in a number of places. In scholarship the Jewish Encyclopedia of the European scholar is probably the first which mention Sabiah during the Seventeenth century. The Holy Book attributed to them is called ‘Jinza rabba’ which is in Aramaic language. Arabic translation is also available.
