Abstract

Abu al-Hassan 'Ali al-Nadawi is counted amongst the most celebrated Arabic and Islamic Intellectuals of the 20th century. Various are his services in the field of Literature available in the shape of books and articles. The present article discusses those writings of alNadawi which he scribed in the eulogy and love of our beloved Prophet (SAW). These include portions from his prophetic bibliographical work: “Sirat al-Nabi”, “al-Tariq ilal Madinah and Qasas al-Nabiyyin. He also translated poetry of non-Arabs written in the admiration and adoration of the Prophet (PBUH). He also expressed that how the poets of sub-continent had given sublime place to the subject of Prophetic panegyrics in their works. The present article analyses his critical views in this regard.
