Abstract
Mufti Muhammad Shafi' is a well-known religious personality of the 20th Century. He got the prestige of "The greatest Mufti of Pakistan" Tafseer "Maariful Quran" is his master piece which is very popular among the public. This tafseer contains nearly every sort of knowledge. The salient feature of this Tafseer is the explanation of various problems relating to social life. In this collection he has described many decrees under the title "Maarif -o-Masail". In his description he keeps in view the verses of Quran, the sayings of the prophet (S.A.W) and the opinions of the Jurists. He can be rightly called a Mujtahid of himself. He focusses on the emerging issues and presents its solutions in light of Quranic teachings. His way of narration is very polite and defends his viewpoints in a social manner
