Abstract

The blasphemy law of Pakistan Penal Code has long been debated inside the country and abroad saying it is discriminatory against religious minorities and violating the freedom of religion. This study begins with a brief introduction and a short history of enactment of blasphemy law of Pakistan, while proceeds to a critical analysis of the law regarding blasphemy against the Holy Prophet. The special emphasis is laid on the case of Christians of Pakistan, determining causes of their unrest and evaluating them.
