Abstract
This paper is focused on video streaming over peer to peer networks. It involves an overview of the objectives of the European project P2P-Next along with peer to peer content delivery platform NextShare and its architecture. The validation of the NextShare platform is done on PlanetLab, which is a world wide network for protocol testing, its objectives, benefits, problems along with the description of procedures and scripts adopted. Finally, the discussion of experimental results is done through testbed description, parameters and settings with results at the end. The main objective of this paper is to understand the NextShare platform and its validation by performing tests over PlanetLab.
