Abstract
"Islam is a religion of peace and security. Unfortunately, non-Muslims have misunderstandings about its values. Furthermore, many Muslims have also given very poor impression about Islam. Teachings of the Holy Qur’an and Holy Prophet (SAWS) have emphasized on the security and safety of human beings irrespective of their cast, colour and creed. Holy Prophet (SAWS) never betrayed anybody. His activities were always on the ground. He loved humanity and never enforced anyone to embrace Islam. Rightly guided caliphs also followed the footsteps of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWS).This paper attempts to highlight the importance of human life and property in the light of Islamic teachings. Moreover, a line of action is suggested for Islamic Ummah to regain her lost status."
