Abstract
The purpose of this conceptual article is to understanding the good governance in Islamic perspective. This paper also evaluates the relationship between good governance and Islam. The term “good governance is a multidimensional which occupies a central stage in the Islamic political discourse .Good governance mean the art of government, in which all public decision and other affair are dealt transparency and the government official are made responsible and appointed on merit, and the gap between the government and people is bridged . It is argued that Islam promotes good governance. Islam is not merely a religion, rather a complete code of life. It provides guidance in all walks of life. Among all religions, Islam provides a political framework to administer the affairs of mankind. Islamic provisions, if properly followed, would lead to good governance. This theoretical research paper is organized in three different sections. First section deals with brief introduction of major concepts: governance, good governance and Islam. Section two dwells on the main Islamic concept of good governance. A summary of findings, recommendations and some predictions for the research problems would be discusses in the last section of the paper. As a backdrop to this discussion, it is necessary to briefly examine these major concepts: good governance and Islam.
