Abstract
Today is the age of globalization. Media, especially electronic media has transformed the whole world into a global village. We become aware of the news of the whole world in a few minutes while listening and watching news on television. This paper attempts to investigate how it all takes place and how the television is playing a role in our daily lives by shaping world events for us. It also elaborates different approaches to globalization, media organizations’ structure and the working of International Television News Agencies. The paper explains the role of television in globalization and its worldwide consequences. It also discusses the domination of western media and its biased treatment to the Islamic World suggesting the establishment of an Islamic Television News Agency.
