Abstract
There is considerable interest among policy makers and researchers to find out waysof rehabilitation and naturalization of asylum seekers especially in the context of Western developed countries. The UK and other European countries have endeavoured to give a credible response to the concern regarding the increased number of asylum applications. This has brought about considerableimprovements in the policy and practiceregarding asylum seekers and associated regulations. The reformshave focusedprimarily on asylum determinationprocess, pre-entry controls, and support and integration policies. However, the general perception prevails that the asylum policies in Europe are ineffectivein returning refugees as well asreducing the economic burden on the host countries. This tempts the researcher to examine the underlying factors vital in return migration of asylum seekers in the UK from the perspective of refugees.
