Abstract
This study aims to depict the previously unexplored artistic picture in the poetry of the famous Egyptian novelist, poet & critic Najib al-Kilani (1931-1995). Part first of the article provides definition of artistic image according to famous Western and Arab experts of literature. Part second critically describes various metaphorical pictures patterned by the poet in his poetry; auditory, olfactory, tactile and gustatory as well as their reciprocity with each other.
