Abstract
This article is an analytical study of the specific portion i.e Surat Al Fatiha from Tafseer Aldurrul Manthur by the prominent Islamic scholar of the 5th Century (H), Imam Jalalud Din Al Sauti.In the article a detailed introductory note about the author and his contribution in the Islamic fields has been added in the start followed by the salient features of the Tafseer under reference. From the study, it shall become evident that this collection is the secondary source of the Tafseer Bil Mathur based on its pioneers collections such as Tafseer Ibne jarir etc. The author has mentioned a reasonable number of ahadith and the sayings of others narrators.He has limited his explanation only to describe the chain of the narrators overlooking the authenticity as which was practiced at that time. It is assumed that by doing so he put a problem to the readers and motivates them to search out themselves like the method of problem solving. In the explanation of Surat Al fatiha besides the reliable ahadith, many others that are weak or otherwise concocted are found. The ahadith that related to the rewards of Surat Al fatiha, have been evaluated in light of the principles of hadith and the study of Jarh WA T’adil.It shall be a favorable study for the researches.
