Different Jurisprudential schools of thought came into being, but only four schools of thoughts were generally accepted and the others disappeared with the passage of time. In these four jurisprudential schools of thought, the Hanafi is a prominent figure, and has been distinguished from the rest of them by the majority of its followers, from Imam Abu Hanifa to the contemporary.
