Abstract
In various Qur’anic Verses Almighty Allah instructed man to think deeply about the creation of the heavens, the earth, the mountains, the birds, animals, and other phenomena of the nature. Therefore, thinking is a significant characteristic of human beings and it has different types, including critical, creative, analytical, logical, cognitive, scientific, cross-sectional, inductive, effective, practical or functional and comprehensive. In this article, we have tried to focus on critical thinking and its importance in education, because it develops the student's abilities, skills, creativity and makes the students able to criticize and evaluate the texts and opinions. We have divided it into three sections: 1.The definition of critical thinking . 2. Criteria for critical thinking and its styles. 3. The importance of critical thinking in education.
