Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has gained a lot of attention in the modern area. Tiny sensing motes with scarce resources are designed to conserve more and more energy. Efficient clustering protocols have been designed for sensor nodes network to enhance network lifetime. The selection of cluster head in the cluster and more optimal clustering method makes network energy efficient. The nearest node to Base station is directly communicated with Base station. This also decreases Energy consumption during information interchange. This research paper introduced an approach in which energy is more conserved in communication between sensor nodes and BS using cluster head in clustering. The proposed scheme selects the Cluster Head on two parameters i.e. Average distance and Residual Energy of Nodes. Due to the division of Network Area into Quadrants and further is divided into sub quadrants make the proposed scheme more and better. In the last, the proposed scheme is compared with two previous schemes by simulation and statistically result which show high network lifetime and stability of the proposed scheme than previous schemes.
