Abstract
Developing an assistive Tool for the visuallyimpaired person is not a freshly introduced concept. Butdeveloping a computer aided device is an area worth exploring toprovide better technology for visually impaired people. Ourproposed system aims to address the development of a navigationdevice by combining different useful methods to serve as aneffective solution for visually impaired. Blind people faceconstraints in independent mobility and navigation. Our longterm goal for the people is the provision of mobility assistance tonavigate easily without any constraints. This purpose isaccomplished by implementing Real-time detection of obstacleswhich is urgently communicated to the person via visual-auditory aid mechanism, so that user can navigate safely withouthitting or bumping in other objects.
