Abstract
This study explores some of the complexities involved in delivering the quality of teaching. Quality teaching is one of the most significant components of quality education. Quality teaching matters due to its significance that it helps in attaining requisite goals of quality education. Quality teaching improves the required skills of students and thus contributes in the improvement of quality education. Quality of education is the major concern of any country and preparing quality teachers is the prime importance in many countries. In this connection quality of teaching cannot be ignored. This research investigated the teachers’ and head teachers’ opinion that how they think quality teaching should be and how they experienced quality teaching in their schools. Teachers and heads hold about the broad concept of quality teaching are also translated into practices they experienced in their respective schools but quality of education remained weakened. In this connection a model was proposed. 291 primary school teachers and 245 head teachers were taken as sample.
