Abstract

The rise of al-Qaeda, ISIS called the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria and the promotion of other militant Islamist movements, a variety of groups and tendencies with different backgrounds and historical origins have exerted substantial influences on the societies and politics of the Muslim countries and inhabitants. It seems that these movements are fighting for the development of Islamism, against the modern and liberal theories against Islam as well as oppressive infidel regimes and foreign occupations, but actually their national, personal, social and political motives too included in their activities. The militant movements are intended to implement Islamic sharia in all Muslim inhabited areas. However, they are not satisfied and comfortable with all aspects of it because they widely interpret the sharia in their own words and ways. These militant movements are increasing violence base Islamism by the use of different strategies, methods and the suicide bombing. However, the Muslim world and others strongly always deny and reject violence in the name of Islam because it is a religion of peace and harmony. The proposed research is an attempt to focus the history and role of the militant organizations and movements in the Muslim world from their origin to present. Furthermore, the political, theological, ideological fault lines and empirical approaches of these militant groups will explain in the paper. The research study is based on the theoretical and deductive approaches and qualitative techniques of research to investigate the militant activities of these movements, which used the slogan of Islamism for their militant activities. In fact, the founder and supporters of these movements just wanted to get power rule in the Muslim world.
